APOCALYPSE (2023)
Whether it's the mutated creatures in the Resident Evil series of games or the setup of infected humans in zombie movies like World War Z, I've always been intrigued by post-apocalyptic themes to explore.The Last of Us, a post-apocalyptic drama series produced by HBO and based on the action-adventure game of the same name, begins airing in early 2023. After watching the series, my thoughts began to churn and i believed it was time to make something fruitful to achieve my exploration of this subject. This prompted me to start working on a "post-apocalyptic" theme.
This project revolves around human beings, life， and nature, showing a scene where a planetary catastrophe ensues after the natural environment has been severely damaged by humans, and humans are ultimately engulfed and ruled by the evolved plants.During the creation of this project, I used a combination of both Intaglio prints and 3d printing as forms of artistic expression to reflect my narrative outcome.Through this project, I hope to give mankind a warning: Do not wantonly destroy the natural environment, and those who
do so will eventually be punished.
